  • Intel - low-voltage power for new-generation processors;
  • Amgen - scientific data processing of research results;
  • Walt Disney Imagineering - fast in-park communication;
  • KLA-Tencor - management of software update overload;
  • Barksdale - valve controller for bus handicapped lifts;
  • EG&G - instrumentation for high-energy physics research.
Organizational Leadership - Engineering VP of $150 MM medical instrument company. Developed and managed large multidisciplinary teams for:
  • automated clinical laboratory equipment;
  • radioisotope based immunology research;
  • carbon dating, chromatography and electrophoresis.
Computer and Network Security:
  • IT Director of largest US maker of credit and smart cards;
  • Developed and taught computer and network security courses to degree candidates at DeVry University;
  • Led the software development of a new 3Com highly secure consumer router using resources on three continents.
Internet and World Wide Web - Chief Technology Officer of an eBusiness startup, building and leading the team that developed a secure web application to implement a sealed-bid contracting model.

Project Management - Director of Product Engineering for EMI's pioneering development of the first whole-body CT X-Ray Scanner;  applied probabalistic PERT (Project Evaluation and Review Technique) to this large-scale, first-time, complex project.

Expert Testimony - Provided investigation and expert testimony in cases of litigation concerning product defects, theft of trade secrets, and other matters.

Transformational Leadership - Led a volunteer task force addressing homelessness in a 100,000-population city;  dramatically increased effective participation, achieved national recognition for innovation, and exceeded goals.

Education - Master of Business Administration (MBA), University of Chicago, Executive Program.  Bachelor of Science (BSEE), University of Illinois, supplemented with one year in the College of Law.  Postgraduate study at the University of Illinois and University of California Los Angeles Extension.
